10 weeks of learning and growing for kids 2 to 12 What is Pioneer Clubs? Pioneer Clubs is a weekly club program for children ages 2 to12 sponsored by The Salvation Army Cascade Community Church. This is a Christ-centred program that integrates spiritual and personal development. It gives boys and girls the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, make new friends, and develop Christian values that will impact every aspect of their lives. When and where do Pioneer Clubs meet? Pioneer Clubs meet at Cascade Community Church every Wednesday between September 23 and November 25. Club meetings start promptly at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. Pioneers are divided into classes according to their age. What happens at a typical club night? The word that best describes Pioneer Clubs is variety. Bible exploration is an important part of every meeting. There could also be stories, crafts, gym time, show and tell, cooking, music lessons or a surprise special guest. Awards are earned through the ten-week session. What is the cost? The registration fee is $50 per child for the ten-week session. Included in the fee are a student workbook, club awards, and costs for theme nights and the materials needed for special projects. Club members are encouraged to bring a 25¢ offering each week to offset the expense of extra supplies. Wednesdays from September 23 to November 25, 2009 |
