What we're about...What really defines a young adult? Good question. If you're young (<30) and an adult (>17) then this is where you wanna look. Our YA's are still inline with the 3-fold idea of Logos – discover, discern, deliver. But rather than develop solely as individuals, Kairos focuses on the importance of community building. In fact, community is not something we only want to instill but something that is essential to God’s Kingdom…we are all parts of one body (Rom 12, 1 Cor 12). Being a young adult brings about ‘Seasons’. You are graduated, in a serious relationship, moving from home, engaged, married, kids … it is inevitable that we encounter one or more of these seasons, sometimes at the same time. The goal of YA ministries is to get together in a more casual manner. We hope to bring together people from different seasons for the purpose of building community, relationships and accountability. YOUNG ADULTS We meet the fourth Tuesday of every month for dinner. The location varies depending on who is cooking and hosting. A discussion/challenge follows dinner. Contact Pastor Mike Cumiskey for details on upcoming locations. (see the calendar for the next dinner)
YOUNG MARRIEDS
We meet the first Tuesday of every month for a potluck. The location varies depending on who is hosting. This a great night of fellowship and catch-up. Childcare is not provided. Theses evenings are a night to get away for just the two of you. If you need a babysitter we have some amazing High School students that are always looking to make a buck. Contact Pastor Mike for more information of the next dinner or contacts for babysitters.
